Analidis examines how domestic and international policies and rising economic inequality have contributed to millions of Americans exchanging their blood plasma for money. Tracing the evolution of the blood plasma industry and analyzing the experiences of hundreds of “donors”, she contends with the societal and health implications of this practice.
