Sben Korsh is a PhD Candidate in Architecture at Taubman College. He took his cognate coursework in Sociology, and his minor field exam in the Sociology of Professions and Higher Education. His research focuses on the political economy of architecture—as building, as profession, as discipline; his dissertation examines how neoliberalization has shaped institutions of architectural culture. Previously, he focused on the social spaces of financial work; this included an MS thesis on the Transamerica Corporation in San Francisco, an MPhil thesis on stock trading in Hong Kong, and a curatorial project at the Canadian Center for Architecture tracing the links between financial districts and the climate crisis.
