About the event
Abstract: Intersectionality theory argues that race and gender cannot be fully understood in isolation or through an additive approach. Building on intersectionality, this study introduces a systematically comparative framework to identify missing results in correspondence audits and help scholars conduct more holistic analyses. A meta-analysis of 52 correspondence audits encompassing nearly 330,000 tests for discrimination, paired with a re-examination of each study using seven discrimination ratios, reveals previously overlooked patterns and identifies ways scholars may miss key findings when they do not adopt a systematically comparative intersectional approach.
