Drawing on Caribbean, Black, and transnational feminist traditions, Sadiyah’s dissertation project investigates how Black girls attending high school in Kingston, Jamaica negotiate the transition to adulthood along the backdrop of Jamaica’s contested sociopolitical histories and contemporary social violence.
